In Oregon, in 1983, Tim Leatherman and his friend Steve Berliner founded Leatherman Tools. Tim got the idea for a product after a trip to Europe, in which used an old Fiat, and needed a handy and efficient tool that could perform multiple tasks. They insisted on good customer service, living wages for their staff, and soon sold their first Pocket Survival Tool. The rest, as they say, is history.
Fast forwards more than 30 years, and Leatherman is a name synonymous with pocket tools, and multi tools. These handy tools are suitable for everything from do it yourself around the house, to travelling and camping in
the countryside and outback. With 700 employees in their US factory, and a commitment to quality products, Leatherman goods really are a force to be reckoned with.
They have popular product lines including the Leatherman Sidekick, the classic Leatherman Wave and Leatherman Charge TTI (with its titanium handles), so the brand has a tool for every occasion and user.
