A repeating crossbow is a type of crossbow fitted with a magazine or feeding mechanism that allows multiple shots to be fired in quick succession without manually loading each bolt. Bolts are stored in a magazine, usually mounted above the rail, and when the crossbow is cocked the next bolt automatically drops into position ready to fire.
This design increases firing speed and efficiency compared to traditional single‑shot crossbows. Repeating crossbows offer faster follow‑up shots and a more continuous shooting experience.
