Air Weapon Delivery Information for Customers in Scotland
Important Legal Notice for Scottish Residents
Due to the Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015, any person residing in Scotland must hold a valid Air Weapon Certificate (AWC) to purchase, possess, or use most air weapons.
What Is Classified as an “Air Weapon”?
Under Scottish law, an “air weapon” includes:
Air rifles, air guns, and air pistols powered by compressed gas or spring
Devices that are not firearms but are capable of discharging a projectile with force
Even low-powered airguns (below 12 ft-lbs for rifles and below 6 ft-lbs for pistols) are included
Exemptions: Certain low-powered BB guns and airsoft guns under 1 joule energy may be exempt, but customers should verify with Police Scotland if unsure.
Who Needs an Air Weapon Certificate (AWC)?
If you are:
Aged 14 or older (18 to purchase)
Living in Scotland
Intending to own or use an air weapon,
You must apply for and be granted an Air Weapon Certificate (AWC) by Police Scotland.
Children under 14 cannot possess or use air weapons, even under supervision.
Our Delivery Policy to Scotland
To comply with Scottish law:
We will not ship air weapons to any address in Scotland without first verifying that the recipient holds a valid Air Weapon Certificate.
During checkout, customers with a Scottish delivery address will be asked to send a copy of their AWC to [email protected].
If this cannot be provided, we are legally required to cancel the order.
