Built upon the reliable break-barrel system, the SPA 60 features a spring piston that is cocked by opening the hinged barrel. This mechanism allows for easy insertion of a 4.5 mm (.177) pellet, followed by closing the barrel securely. Prior to firing, both a manual sliding safety and a beavertail safety must be disengaged.

Equipped with a rifled barrel, the UX SPA 60 ensures precise accuracy by imparting spin to each pellet, stabilizing its trajectory. Additionally, its elongated sight radius facilitates accurate aiming.
